A little about me

After attended art college where I attained my formal qualification in Graphic Design I moved to the big city and the fantastic, frantic world of magazine publishing. I worked on the production of several monthly, internationally distributed magazines before leaving the UK for the laid back lifestyle of Perth, Australia.

Here I put my graphic skills to good use working for an advertising agency where I bashed together a wide range of work including everything from business cards and press advertisements through to the design and production of brochures and corporate reports.

Somehow I made the jump into the photographic industry where I operated, for many years, as the digital systems manager of a professional photographic laboratory. This was a challenging and fun time working with all manner of applications and equipment. Creative and technical tasks were a constant developer of my skills and experience.

Now operating on a freelance basis I have worked on photographic and design projects in the UK, Australia and Europe.

It is almost impossible to single out individual jobs or projects for special mention. But some that I cannot fail to mention are the production of information and display panels for the award winning Maritime Museum of Western Australia.

Exhibition display material for Woodside Energy that was part of the companyТs successful bid to supply Australian LNG to China.

Creative and technical support to the ANZANG Nature and Landscape Photography competition. In 2006 I had the honor of being asked to participate as a judge in what has become AustraliaТs largest nature based photographic competition.

My satisfaction with any project comes from seeing that project, whatever the scale or budget, completed to not only the customers requirements but to my own standards. A good job is a good job. Simple.
